I was mucking around with the xface desktop last night and applyed a setting and the screen lock. This morning i tried to get it start and I am still have the same problem. At the log in screen it tried the backup of the xorg.conf file that I have but the screen still locks. So i then tried to sudo -dpkg -pligh -xorg or something like that. But that has created a new issue I have a presio 2000 laptop that has ati drivers and they make the screen shake so now i can't even see the screen.
This is my question how do i get xorg. back to the vesa drivers that work?
And is there away to boot ubuntu straight to the terminal so that I can see the screen again?
