i just upgraded from 7.04 to 7.10 but it won't let me open my web browser..any help would be appreciated(i originally downloaded 7.04 from ubuntu so i didn't use a CD):(

Please open a terminal (Accessories>Terminal) and type:


firefox

(assuming that your web browser is Firefox, which is the default in Ubuntu).

Please post the output here so that we can figure out what's preventing it from starting.

when it boots up an i put in my password a message comes up that says...Internal Error. Failed to initialize HAL!
I think i had to either disable or enable my network(it's the network button in the upper right hand corner). it seems to be working now
