Network Problem

Mainly I use Win XP
I had recognized my network on it so I can access other computers on my home network
How can I do the same with Ubuntu?!

I'm in the middle of a major problem myself.

Samba is the program that will enable lan connections to and from windows systems as far as I understand.

try searching for samba in your synaptic package manager, and install it from there.
