installed (by accident via system update) M FF3 Beta5
Its is not good on my machine, keeps fading and hanging
how can I go back to the version that came with 8.04 ?

I was sure Firefox 3beta5 was the default in Hardy Heron. Anyway, you might want to revert to Firefox 2, the default in Gutsy.

I Dont recall seeing FF 3 BETA 5 across the top before ?
Anyone know what the default is for 8.04 ?

I went for the command 1 liner
and strangely my back / forward button on the click logitech mouse work again !
If FF 3 is at beta 5 is there a standard FF3 non Beta ?

You can have both:(you get to choose):
sudo aptitude install firefox-2
