Hello all, i am trying to delete mozilla firefox 3 beta 5 so I can download opera. When I try to access synaptic package manager I get an error that reads "E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. After I do that in terminal, I get a message that reads" dpkg: requested operation requires super user privilege. I just downloaded Ubuntu 8.04 a few days ago and I am trying to get things in order here. I am the only person that uses this lap top so there are no other users besides me, the admin.
Please help.
