Hi,
I have upgrade from gutsy to hardy and my VMware workstation installation is dead slow running the win2k or winxp VMs. Under Gutsy I read a solution was to sudo echo 1 > /sys/module/processor/parameters/max_cstate and that indeed fixed the performance but this file no longer exists in Hardy.
Can someone please advise whether this file is being renamed and or moved and if so is there a solution to fix this under Hardy - love the OS but shame to see an LTS be a substandard version of the previous non LTS Gutsy!
