Gaming on these laptops? (8600GT)

What sort of performance can I expect out of the base model Pangolin with the 8600GT? I'm talking Source under Wine, UT2k4, Nexuiz, etc., no Crysis! I need playable frames, but I don't need graphics all the way up.

You might want to upgrade the memory, but I'd say that for moderate gaming, it would do quite well.

However, I'm not a gamer, so....

I'm running the Serval Performance with excellent performance in World of Warcraft under wine. I haven't tried anything else yet, but it runs better on the laptop than on my gaming rig.

Enemy Territory: Quake Wars runs on "highest" settings fine, Savage 2 runs on highest fine also. So yes, this is very much a good gaming laptop (in fact that's the main reason I bought it).

Can't say about wine stuff though, I don't even have wine installed anymore!

All 4 of my sables game relatively well, even ETQW on low settings, which I consider a nice qualifier. My Serval (about 2 years old) games just as well too.
