Problem with login. Please Help

When I try logging in using GNOME or Xclient it plays the success sound but then the screen goes black and takes me to the login screen.

I've tried multiple times but I can only get in using the Failsafe GNOME.

PS: I have an ATI Radeon XPRESS 200 graphics card and an AMD Athlon 64 processor if that helps at all.

Hey, man, you are having the same exact problems I was. Check my recent created threads page for the thread i made. Anywho, upon logging into failsafe, goto your restrictred drivers manager and download the video drivers. You have the EXACT same processor/integraded graphics that I have so this should work. Go and try it out!
