Hey Everyone,
I'm posting a quick question to the community to ask if anyone has ever used Incremental Image backups of different machines, aka, it creates an image of the machine incrementally.
The reason I'm asking is because currently the way we backup our servers is to use tapes and back up everything every night.
I had an idea of combining the incremental image backup system with rsync to create a remote storage of ALL our server Images so that backing up will go quicker and smoother than our current setup.
I was wondering if anyone has seen/used an open source incremental image back up system? I know there are some non-free one's out there and barring the open-source free version, are there any propriety software that you recommend? And are there any good Image back up systems for Linux as well as Windows?
