that's been one of my biggest problems, what kind of setups are you guys using?

What is your model? What problems do you face? I have an HP dv9000 series and everything works fine with no manual configuration...

mostly it's super sensitive, and touching it does weird things like copy and paste things.

Do a search for touchpad in synaptic package manager. You should find an app that lets you configure your touchpad. I forgot the exact name of the app.

qsynaptics helps; i have used it for nearly a year and have had minimal issues (re: i've been lazy and haven't attempted to troubleshoot my issues). there are many tutorials on the forums and on the net that show how to set up your touchpad.

thanks everyone, I've been using gsynaptic and ksynaptic to configure my touchpad, I was just interested it what other people are doing.
