I have noticed at least 100 or so posts about trying to get past the busybox screen at boot.

Here is what happens:

It asks if I want windows or ubuntu,I say ubuntu

It starts up until the loading screen.

Then it goes to the busy box screen.

what is wrong, how do I get past?

Please help

i seem to have a similar problem. except i am booting ubuntu 7.10 i386 from a mounted e:// drive mounted by magiISO.

the dual boot screen comes up with option to boot windows xp or ubuntu.

when i choose ubuntu, the boot screen comes up and the bar goes back and for for a minute or two and then i get this:

Busybox v1.1.3 (Debian 1:1.1.3-5 ubuntu 7) Built-in Shell (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built in commands
(initramfs)

There are many many more.
