Hi folks,
I'm studying these Neural Networks for couple of months now . I've got to Hopfield networks .

Although I like reading one book at the time, I'm currently using two books:

(1) Neural Networks for pattern recognition , by Chris Bishop
(2) Information theory, Inference and learning algorithms , by David C. MacKay .

The first one is complete textbook, but very boring to read, maybe due to the fact author has hard time writing in plain English :) . The second one is funny and interesting to read, but it's not Neural Nets book ( NNs are presented in only a few chapters ).

The thing is, I'm currently stuck with Hopefield. Does anyone know any good plain-English tutorial/howto/textbook on that guy's networks :) ?

Thanks.

Btw, any good suggestion about Data Mining book would be nice :D

I found the book by Raul Rojas to be very well explaining. It also has a chapter about Hopfield nets:
