Boot problems can't reinstall

Ooh stuck

Got part way through install but said error on disk or cd and kicked me out
But now when I try to install again it keeps remembering my previous attempt and wants me to log in but that fails
Have deleted the partitions but it still remembers my old session, tried the failsafe option but still no luck

Any advice would be gratefully accepted

completly wipe your hard drive, using the partitonm manager, select, wipe and use entire disc, or load gparted and wipe it from there,

WARNING THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE HARD DRIVE UNLESS YOU SELECT A CERTAIN PARTITION!!!!

Unfortch everytime I load up the live cd it gets to the same screen
"you have a discontinued session ubuntu will login in 20 seconds"
