I now double-boot Gutsy and Win2K with the Grub Loader on an AMD64 desktop. I would be just as happy using Partition Magic to wipe out Gutsy and do a fresh install of Hardy. But I don’t know how to get rid of the old Grub Loader. If someone can give me clear instructions, that would solve my problem. And if I could avoid installing the new Grub Loader, I would be happier using the double-boot loader that comes with Partition Magic. But I recall that when installing Gutsy from a Live Disk it offered no options at all.

You can install Hardy on top of the old Gutsy. Go Manual and choose the old partitions. You can ignore /swap. The installer will do the rest. You will have a new Grub and continue to have dual boot.
