Adding Items to K Menu

Hi,

I am trying to edit the K Menu. But when I save nothing happens. According to the user guide I am supposed to get a dialog - "Updating Systems Config" or something like that but this does not appear. I am on 3.5 just hoping to move from gnome to kde.

Yes, you should get a prompt (http://etotheipiplusone.com/kmenu-editor.png) with "Updating System Configuration" on it and a progress bar. Try bringing up a terminal and running
