gdesklets help!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me with gdesklets. I just installed it with the hope of getting some cool stuff on my desktop, but I haven't been able to run it even once. It crashes for some weird reason.

Any help would be appreciated. Also, please let me know if there is any other gdesklets-type application which is, say, more stabe?

Are you using an AMD64? I do and I have the same problem, and I think many others do too.
