I tried to upgrade to 8.04 from my 6.06 today through the GUI upgrade tool in my XFCE desktop. At the beginning, everything went smoothly, and the package installation has started. I went out for a moment to wait for the upgrade finish. When I come back, the screensaver popped up, and I try to input my password to clear the screensaver, the screensaver just denied my original password and empty password as well... So I went to another console. It can be correctly login in. I killed the screensaver, the xwindow reloaded and failed to start.

Hence I decided to reboot and continue the apt-get upgrade in console since I think the console still works. After the reboot, the system hangs after load the root files. Nothing works. Probably I had to reinstall the system. This bug should be fixed.
