received yesterday and booted very slow. installed all updates and still takes over 5 minutes to load. Get message OAFIID:DesktopApplet Gnome_FastUserSwitchApplet do you want to delete? Takes a couple minutes to open firefox,terminal or anything once going. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this?:confused:

try deleting the programs you wont uses. eg most the preinstalled games

just a guess

restore to factory fixed this. I guess Dell didn't have something set right somewhere in it when they shipped it.
