hello everyone i bougth a usb wireless card for my desktop but i dont know how o get it installed cos when ever i plug the card into the system there is no notifiction at all.

my question are :

1. how do i know the system reconginses it
2.how do i get it up and working.

i will be glad at any sharp responses thanks

are you actually uing gutsy gibbon? and is there any reason you are not using hardy? (heh, sorry that's not a rude question, but pertinent i think. I've found that Ubuntu has made some fairly sizeable leaps in the wireless department since 6.10 ;)).

I could not get mine to work until I clicked "disable" and the clicked "enable" with the task bar icon
