View Full Version : [ubuntu] reformat xp hd but dual booting with ubuntu

I have ubuntu on one hard drive, and xp on another and dual boot, however I want to reformat the xp hd and reload windows on it. My only concern is will this mess up the bootloader

You will have to reinstall grub after reinstalling windows Then your Ubuntu will load..

not sure off the top of my head. depends where the mbr is. in all likelihood it will be on the xp drive.

personally find supergrub a bit of a pain. think it's easier just to reinstall normal grub ;)

thanks guys, hopefully wont have to do it hubby can get along with linux, and it seems to be going alrite have book,arked this page for reference
