My fiancée is finally ready to try Ubuntu on her laptop, but the partitioner (using Hardy Desktop LiveCD) doesn't give us the "Guided resize" option that I've used in the past. Her HDD is partitioned with 55MB FAT (Dell bootloader), 3.55GB FAT32 (restore partition), and the rest as NTFS (Windows XP).
Does anyone know why the "Guided resize" option wouldn't be available?

I faced this problem yesterday
what I did is
quit installing, restart, go to windows, restart, back to the partitioner
and it was there
weird !!
I hope you understand my messy example

Interesting. I'll give that a shot when I get home.

Unfortunately that didn't help. We tried restarting and shutting down from Windows twice, but the option still doesn't appear.
Any other ideas?
