View Full Version : [ubuntu] Ubuntu 8.04 doesn't show up in GRUB

I have been running a dual-boot computer (XP and Ubuntu 7.1). On startup a GRUB menu appears allowing me to choose either OS.

This evening, I loaded Ubuntu 8.04 on another partition on the same disk that holds my XP and Ubuntu 7.1.

Installation appeared to go well, but when I restarted the machine, the only options appearing in the GRUB menu were XP and Ubuntu 7.1 - no Ubuntu 8.04.

Is there a documented way to add Ubuntu 8.04 to the GRUB list?

Thanks,

Wes

A much belated thanks logo34. Your link allowed me to get the problem fixed.
