Hi,

On hardy 64 bit, I have got this weird thing going on. I am not sure if its a bug or something with my system only.

Whenever I open the appearance mgmt window by right clicking on the desktop, and choosing "Change Desktop Background", after closing the dialog, the process doesnt die.

It just keeps living on in memory and System monitor tells me that it starts eating upto 50% cpu.

The only way to get rid of the process is then to kill it from system monitor.

Anybody knows anything like that ?
any fixes ?

cheers
raghav..

anybody else seen this behaviour ?

Initially I thought it might be linked to my xgl driver problem (http://tech.sraghav.in/2008/05/xgl-system-monitor-bug-in-hardy.html), but now that the xgl is gone, this problem persists.

Anybody ??
