I've got a task for you all! :D

To design a nice and lovely, affordable and fully compatible Ubuntu computer using parts from:

http://www.newegg.com/

Obviously it is your opinion what is affordable, but you know, be sensible.

Go! :D

Well as far as I know all hardware inside the computer is compatible with ubuntu. Like ram, motherboard, graphicscard (as long as its nvidia or ati), harddrives etc.
The problems usually is printers, webcams and other extension hardware.

here is a wishlist I put together. Cheap but still very powerful (Q6600).

It is lacking a monitor, keyboard, mouse since I already have all of that.

you can get a decent computer for about 150-200 dollars, without moitors those are exspeneive really fast so decide what you wnt to pay and then find the monitor. then use the rest to choose a system if it is still a 150-200 you can go for amd if it is a little more than you can go for intel.
