I have a really quick question, and forgive me if I sound like a newbie when I ask this: I know that you can dual boot windows and Ubuntu, and I have done so in the past. However, is there a way to have both operating systems on my computer, but be able to switch them on the fly without rebooting? It might be like having a virtual OS, but not quite... I really don't know if there is an app out there that would allow this, and it would probably be better to just get another computer and a kmp switcher, but I was wondering if I could get the same result on just one computer.

Any help at all would be much appreciated!

It is not possible to boot 2 OS's at the same time.

But you have a few options.

1- Linux can run Windows programs via WINE natively
2- or as you said install a Windows virtual machine in Linux or vise versa
