I was wondering if the updates to the current version of Gnome will ever make it into Hardy Heron, such as 2.22.2 and 2.22.3. I know 2.22.1 is the current version in Hardy. Thanks

usually its locked in, unless there is a major security patch.
But you can enable backports and such, there are ways to keep a lts current.

2.22.2, 2.22.3, etc are bug fixes and will probably be in Hardy.

2.24, 2.26, etc however are major updates and will not be.

Did they include the .2 and .3 releases of gnome in the last LTS of Ubuntu? I know that the last couple of releases didnt like feisty and gutsy. But is it different for LTS?
