hi ..actually i am using Ubuntu 32 bit on my Dell Inspiron 6400 (core2duo 2GH, 2GB, ATI X1400). everything is great...just hibernate problem...

but now i want to use Ubuntu 64 bit...my hardware is 64 bit supported...but i am confuse about graphics card ATI x1400...what u think??????is it supported 64 bit ubuntu...???

can i install 64 bit....and will i get good experience or not...???

Er, why would you? You don't get any ram advantages because 32bit supports the 2 gigs easily, and programs use a little more ram in 64bit so you actually lose space.

64 bit, regardless of what you've heard, is more than just about memory.

If you wish to cross over to 64 bit land, back up your data as you will have to wipe out your existing installation.

Yes, you will find that your video card is supported.

yes...u are right...but some times 32 bit ubuntu goes halt...and shows some error...and also i have hibernate problem in 32 bit...

i read from net and also i think Ubuntu 64bit version will remove halt problem and also hibernate...

please advice me.....thanks
