I searched for a while and didn't found this online, I apologise if it's a repost.

I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon x86_64 and want to upgrade to Hardy Heron x86_64. A couple of months ago, when I upgraded from Feisty Fawn, I got some errors with my internet connection and had some furstrating problems. I finally ended up formating my / partition and installing Gutsy from the scratch.
Now I want to upgrade to HH avoiding the problems of the last time.
I downloaded the Hardy Heron CD.
Is it possible to make the upgrade directly from the CD? Without relying on my internet connection and without formatting my root partition?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Andres

You need the Alternate CD.

Thanks, I'm downloading it now.
Is there something special that I need to do once I have the CD?
Is there any available guide for that?

Thanks!
