Crossover is more for office then games

I think your thinking of Cedega

I think the bought versions of wine turn out to be more stable for games because of the fact that they don't constantly update with patches that may ruin your game.

cross over games I would say is better for games. wine is better for everthing else assuming you can find anything people use that it actually runs.

I have been hearing good things about Crossover Games for the games that it is certified to run.

For other games wine might work better.

Don't bother with cedega. That's a dying project that has a subscription fee.

Crossover games has some enhancements that makes some games work better, so If you're willing to pay for it, get it. I'll stick to Wine though because it does everything I need it to :)
