View Full Version : [ubuntu] Flash with beta 5, unreliable

Flash with firefox 3 beta 5 is horribly unreliable, sometimes it works, someones it does not work.
Youtube videos play for 3 secs. then you have to move the slider bar to get another 3 seconds. Sometimes the player never displays at all.
samething with games, or websites, the .swf just never becomes visible.

How did you install flash? I downloaded the script from the Adobe website and installed it, no problems here. Fewer, in fact, than in Fiesty. I'm on addicting games all day and I watch my fair share of youtube.

If you had Firefox 2 with flash and everything worked fine, you can always uninstall Firefox 3 and install back Firefox 2 (it will retrieve flash and bookmarks and such back like you had in the past, at least thats what it did for me).
I dont like Firefox 3 at all, flash didnt work properly so I switched back to Firefox 2 and its fully functional. :)

I'm having similar issues: a lot of times the swf never loads. If I reload the page a few times that sometimes helps.
I have no solution to the problem (other than downgrading which I want to avoid).
I have flashblocker installed so that might be screwing something up...
