View Full Version : [ubuntu] sharing multi media on a dual boot system

hi everyone, i'm very new to this and don't really know my way around linux! i wanna share all my music, videos etc that i have in xp between xp and ubuntu. i searched round and i've seen that i need to partition my hard drive?? is there anyone out there who can guide me thru how to do this or do i have other options?

If you've already installed Ubuntu and you're using an up-to-date version, accessing your Windows partition should be as easy as going to Places>Computer and double-clicking on the icon that represents your Windows partition. You should not need to do anything else.

Until about a year ago, you would probably have had to create a FAT32 partition to share the files, but that's no longer necessary, since reliable NTFS drivers now exist for Linux.
