I would like to create an Ubuntu 8.04 Live CD on a pen USB (there will be no dedicated CD drive available on an Asus Eee). So I
downloaded the 8.04 ISO on another PC;
burned a CD from the ISO (tested this burn - it is good);
copied all from the CD to pen USB;
changed the BIOS on the Eee to boot from the USB first.
Unfortunately the Eee just hangs. I would assume that the Eee is not doing the initial load from the USB. I would assume that I have not done something to make the USB "bootable".
Yes, I could connect an external CD drive but I'm stubborn.
Does anyone have any ideas other than stop being stubborn?
