greetings all, installed version 8.04 on partition with windows xp pro with wubi 8.04.installer.
Wubi downloaded installation files (twice for some reason)then completed installation correctly. upon reboot following message as follows: Filesysem is ntfs partition type 0x7 kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.24.-16 generic root = uuid = /ubuntu/disks/root.disk ro quiet splash
Error 15 file not found.
pressed escape to main menu, loader would not start 8.04 generic or recovery.
Chose xp option Had to ctrl /alt del to restart ,boot menu disappeared.
This is the second failed installation, does it need to be loaded on correctly partitioned disk to run as advised by message i was under the impression Wubi ran under an assigned folder on the windows o/s drive.
