I have an MSI 271 laptop with ATI card and Hardy freshly installed. I can use the command "pm-suspend" to put the laptop to sleep correctly, but when i wake it up, it takes a really long time for the screen to turn back on. From looking at the log, it seems the screen is waiting for the networking to restart... The thing is that my wireless comes back on immediately, but then the laptop spends a long time trying to find a wired connection even if it's not wired :(

Is there a way to either 1) bring the screen back on before the network? or 2) cut down on the time spent looking for a wired connection when none is present?

thanks for any suggestions :)

I'm also having this issue as well. Mine is an ATI card as well, but I agree that the last logged entry is that it's waiting for a wlan connection...
