I'm not actually on a mac running Ubuntu, but I'm having trouble getting my wired Apple keyboard (which I love to death) to work with Ubuntu 8.04. It worked just fine under 7.10, and for a while it worked well under 8.04, but it sort of ground to a halt recently.
After some trouble shooting, including changing the keyboard model with the Keyboard configuration tool, reconfiguring xorg, and logging in using Kubuntu, I've discovered that the problem must lie with GNOME. (I'm typing this using the lovely little thing on Kubtunu- but I don't like Kubuntu.)
I figured I would get more help here than on IRC, seeing as there are probably more some people who actually use this device here.
Oh, and to clear up any confusion as to what device I'm talking about, here's a picture of it. http://gizmodo.com/assets/resources/2007/07/imac-slim-keyboard-1.jpg
