I used soundjuicer for the first time and it threw my desktop totally. I could raise most apps except the folder display, but what was really weird was that the background vanished to leave the buff Ubuntu colour, and all the stuff I had arranged on the desktop was invisible.
The PC was inordinately slow logging out and back in again (to reset the X server), and it didn't come back properly until I had shut the whole thing down - and even then the shutdown took about 5 minutes. Now it's all back, thank you very much, except that Audacity cannot save stuff in MP3 (which it could with the lame thingy). I tried to reset that, but no soap. Any one else had this sort of thing happen?
