Hi, I had ubuntu gutsy installed, I've upgrade to hardy when it got out and since then I can't play any mp3 file, even DivX files doesn't make any sound.
The player I use is Listen, but even with rhythmbox I get no sound, the player works fine but no sound. In youtube videos I get sound, so I think it's a codec problem and not a hardware one.

I've installed and reinstalled gstreamer variants and nothing works :(

Please anyone can help me? (:

Have you installed the Ubuntu restricted extras package?

Yes I did... I've no more options left that I know, only install Ubuntu Hardy from scratch... :\

Maybe that was the problem in Music and Video it wasn't the right audio card, a simple thing that I didn't remembered... Or another problem I couldn't fix, before I read your reply I installed ubuntu from scratch and now it works...

Thank you for your help anyway :)
