View Full Version : [all variants] Where is the software?

May 3rd, 2008, 09:12 PM
I get a chance, about twice a month, to get on a computer that's conneceted to the internet. Every time I do I try to install some software to tinker with, using NoNetDebs. Well, I've run out of programs that I know the name of and would like to browse ALL the software available. I have been to a site that was like that before. It looked like Ubuntu maintained it. Unfortunately, I forgot where it was. I just want to see the software and not the depndencies.
A little help.

Oh, and another thing. If you know of some killer software you thing I should get, post it, please. Even your favorite software. Please let me know, because my net time is limited.

Well, that would be it, but it contains dependencies. I don't want to have to sift through those to get to the software. Thanks anyway. And thanks for the tip, Helios.

was that it?
or this one?

That seems like it, and it does list a lot of software (kind of what I need), but that can't be all the software in the repository. Also, it's in the Documentation section, so that makes me doubtful that it's what I'm looking for.
It will be helpful however.
What's your favorite software?

There is a thread in the Community CAfe section regarding cool software... if I find it in the next 5 mins I will send you a link.

Thanks, there. Using your last sugestion I have downloaded AGave, a color scheme tool. Not that I need it, but it sounds fun.
