I remember there is a nice feature in Gnome that allows you to select or unselect your CD/DVD drive as one of the possible sources for installing packages. I remember de-selecting my CD/DVD drive, because I wanted to install from the internet, and did not want to be inserting/removing my 7.10 media. I have since switched over to KDE, but my question could apply to the Gnome desktop as well.
If I add the CD/DVD reader to the list of update sources, insert 8.04 media, and select a distribution upgrade to 8.04 -- I am on 7.10 now -- will the upgrade come from the new media? Or, will the upgrade default to the internet?
