I was reading digg as usual, and found an interesting post on the upcoming section. Let me quote a small section:
"At the Linux Foundation meeting in Austin, Texas, last month, major PC vendors ASUS, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, and Lenovo said they would be telling their chipset, component, and peripheral OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) that they were going to demand Linux-compatible hardware from them."
The article also goes about VIA open-sourcing their drivers, and WiFi. Quite important, since we all know that linux lacks good hardware support.

On digg, so you can digg it up (http://digg.com/linux_unix/Computer_makers_push_device_builders_for_Linux_com patible)
