with the bog-standard ubuntu nvidia drivers i get a flickering black/white line on the top pixel line of my screen, i know it is a driver issue as it began after i installed the ubuntu driver. was wondering if there is another driver that i can get easily?

I am using a FX 5200 in this machine; with, from the Ubuntu repos(add and remove) the "Nvidia binary drivers ("new" driver)". It is working fine. Jim

To use Add/remove go to the Applications menu. I used EnvyNG to install the latest drive.

i installed a new driver using envy, there is now a nvidia menu within system-adminstration, however i still have the flickering pixel line on the top of my screen and my splash is still broken--http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=781353
