Hi,

Using Thunderbird 2.0.0.12 and Kubuntu 7.10, and I want to change the background colour of the window where messages appear - the one above the preview panel.

From what I've read I need to edit chrome to do that, but where will I find it? Have searched in my system and haven't been able to see it (tried a search including hidden files as well, and still no joy).

I know there are add-ons that will do it all for me, but I'd prefer to do it manually - figure the extensions will teach me nothing.

Can anyone offer advice?

Thanks,

Blair

the files for Thunderbird are hidden, you have to unhide it.
just press ctrl+h to unhide your hidden folders.
you should see a folder for thunderbird.
But I am unsure about the chrome files, you may have to enter superuser mode for them
