View Full Version : [ubuntu] Where is bash.info[.gz] in 7.10?

Hi all,

I have a fairly recently installed ubuntu 7.10 (March 2008), but when I execute:

info bash

I get the info entry for bashdb but nothing for bash. Exploring the "/usr/share/info/dir" file shows no entry for bash except bashdb.

I am reasonably capable at the command line and can run install-info myself, but where is the bash.info[.gz] file so I can install it?

TIA for any help/url/RTFM you can provide.

Peter

Never mind, I realized that I don't have bash-doc installed.

That's so basic that it really ought to be in the default install folks, don't you think?
