I have a NEC Versa M320 and previously I was using Gutsy Gibbons. That ran well on this laptop but when I upgraded to Hardy Heron, I had a few problems.

Firstly, I am unable to do a "sudo apt-get update". It gives me a message "E: The method driver /usr/lib/apt/methods/htt could not be found.". Has anyone has the same problem or a solution to fix the problem?

Following on from my previous post, when I was on Gutsy Gibbons, it installed using grub. Now, grub will not install but instead it install using lilo. Any reason why Hardy Heron would do that.

So now, I am unable to do a command line install but have to revert to using the Synaptic Manager for installation and upgrading. Much appreciated if someone can throw some insight into this type of behaviour from Hardy Heron.
