I am currently using Ubuntu 8.04 and want to convert to Kubuntu 8.04 what files do i need to have installed and what ones would i need to remove? I also want to keep Synaptic Package Manager and use the Gnome's version of the performance monitor (sense the default KDE version of it doesn't show both of my CPU's activity.)

Just go into Synaptic and install the package called kde. Then use KDE from then on. In the KDE menus you will see a few GNOME apps still hanging around. If you don't find them useful, remove them in Synaptic.

Unless you have a tiny hard-drive, there is no great hurry to clean every trace of GNOME from your system.

Problem I can't figure out how to configure my touchpad...the stupid "tap-click" is driving me nuts. (Sucessfully Changed to Kubuntu.)
