I post is for all those PPC users that have found ways to use Flash, play DVDs, and other features that are available in Mac OS X, but not Ubuntu out-of-box.

So: you will be able to get DVD playback to work.
(Also you are now able to install Sun's version of java, not just IBM's!)

Only gnash and swfdec are available for flash playback. If they can't play it, give up on trying to make it work, basically. Thankfully flash video can usually be downloaded with the help of a Firefox plugin and viewed in vlc.
