i boot from Live CD. On option menu i have to press F6 then mark ACPI=OFF then press F4 and mark Graphic Safe Mode. Only then i can boot to Ubuntu 8.04 Live CD otherwise it gives me error Messge. I think maybe ACPI and video driver not compitable?

From there i installed Ubuntu 8.04 and restart computer i got GRUB but when it boot to Ubuntu generic i can see Ubuntu logo and bar moving left to right and then gives me error message.
I belive it was cousing by video or ACPI driver.

My System Configuration is as Follow

Brand : Home Build
CPU : Core 2 Duo E4500
Memory : HP 1gb x 4 = 4 gb
Video Card : ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT

My question is how can i boot in safe graphic mode from GRUB manu. So i can update drivers?

I am very new to Linux so please explain step by step.

Thank you in advance.
