I started using Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron yesterday and I installed it to my external USB hdd.
I didn't wipe my windows installation, I installed the GRUB bootloader on the external USB hdd.
I tried booting from the USB using the bios, but it doesn't work...
I found a thread here that says that you can create a GRUB boot cd to launch the installation on the external USB hdd. I believe in that thread they were using version Ubuntu 6 or 7.
But the thread doesn't cover Hardy Heron, and the directories seem to be setup a little differently this time.
Is there any way I can boot create a GRUB boot cd and boot from my Ubuntu installation on my external HDD?
