View Full Version : [kubuntu] Problem with Thunderbird URL links after 'downgrading' to Firefox2

Like it says :-( I updated to Kubuntu8.04 a few days ago, discovered that the browser had been changed to Firefox3beta5 and after a couple of hours' frustration, removed it again and reinstalled Firefox2. For some reason, I can no longer click on URLs in Thunderbird emails and have them open up in the browser; nothing happens at all, in fact.

I've done the 'update-alternatives' thing, and it's correctly set to /usr/bin/firefox-2. Can anyone suggest anything I might have missed, please? :-)

Have a look here: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=772112&highlight=thunderbird+links+firefox tweaking the suggested settings in Thunderbird config editor solved the issue for me :-) [but using /usr/bin/firefox-2]
