View Full Version : [ubuntu] Cross upgrade from Fedora 7, dual boot (Vista) fakeraid machine

Hello, all.

Well, main picture: I have a dual-boot box with Vista and Fedora 7 x86-64, that boots from a fakeraid 0 (nVidia onboard).

What I want to do is to UPGRADE (not erasing or loosing ANYTHING in the process) to Ubuntu 8.04.

Is it possible to do it? I mean, without loosing anything?

If so, how should I modify the procedure depicted on "fakeraid with Ubuntu" document?

Thanks a lot,

I've been reading lotsa posts and I haven't found anything on this subject.

It seems I'll have to wait another 12 days for Fedora 9, and stick to Ubuntu on my work notebook only. My home's AMD X2 64 with RAID 0 will keep Fedora, then.

Thanks anyway,
